Birthday parties and visitors

We just don't seem to slow down - every weekend is packed with things to do! The weather has turned cooler, the leaves are changing, and the persimmons are ripe - fall has arrived. I learned today that Marcy, BHP's favorite gal at the church nursery, calls him her little chatterbox. When he saw her tonight, he gave a big grin - it is nice to know he is in good hands. Brenner helped Cousin AnnJo and Buddy Grant celebrate their first birthdays! All day - Brenner was "Grant's house eat cake" - funny what comes out of them!
Brenner came stomping into the kitchen one morning with these boots - I don't know how he walked in them but he did!
Brenner's girlfriend visited this weekend. Funny thing - we did not pose them for this picture. Reagan and Brenner grabbed each other on their own - it was too cute! They talk about each other all of the time - Melissa (Reagan's mom) and I like to tell each other about it. This morning Reagan and Melissa were talking about the beach when Reagan said she wanted to go with Brenner!
Reagan and BHP had a ball playing in the leaves, drawing with chalk, and "running bases" (playing t-ball). It was a wonderful visit.
As you may remember, Clifford is one of Brenner's favorite characters. Lucky for us, Cousin Kate used to work at Scholastic and gave us this big stuffed Clifford - Brenner adores it. Emi on the other hand seems less impressed.........Thanks Kate!!!! Funny story about Kate's house - we visited for AnnaJo's birthday and their dog Vegas (a boxer) was there. Brenner chased him enough that Vegas eventually jumped into AnnaJo's daddy's lap - we all had a good laugh as Vegas was doing anything to get away from Brenner.
Grammy Vo and PawPaw Floyd also made a visit. Grammy brought this awesome tiger vest (has a tail on the back)! I will get a better picture but had to put this on because he loved it so much. He wouldn't take it off the first night and had to put the lion down for "night nights" with him. Thanks, Grammy - this was a great gift!

"Hun Par-kur"

Brenner is learning to say his name - it is so cute. We have "BHP" up on the wall and he loves to shout "Hun Par-kur!" Too cute. Brenner also loves to say "gain" when he wants you to do it again. We took advantage of the weekend weather and went to a local heritage and craft festival with Aunt Lynnie and Key-Key - it was a lot of fun.
Check this out for a cheap toy! I took a $0.77 package of piping and wrapped it around the spindles on BHP's crib. He likes to push them "up" and "down" and tell us the colors.
Brenner walking on stilts at the heritage festival. He did pretty good!

Ride 'em cowboy!
Brenner loves to do what ever you are doing. In this picture he is flossing - now if we could actually get him to brush his teeth rather than sucking of the toothpaste we would have it made!

We had a good laugh at dinner. Some yogurt flew off the spoon and landed all over Brenner's face - a bit is getting ready to drip off his left eye lash!

Fall Festival and Steam Engine Show

Brenner had a great week. One of the highlights was spending Thursday with "Aunt Stephy" - he had a ball and Steph offered to do it again - so it went well! Thanks, Steph! This weekend we went to the Fall Festival in Jo's hometown and then the Missouri Steam Engine Association Show. The weather was great, and BHP was worn out! And for the second year in a row Brenner won third place in the baby health contest!
Brenner and his girlfriend Reagan rode rides together. This was the first time for Brenner and I don't think he would have done it without Reagan. He loved the cars - although if you ask him his favorite he will tell you "motor-cicle" (which he rode the entire with a grimace on his face!).
Brenner and Aunt Janet. The best part of the day was when Grandpa Bob, Aunt Janet, and Tom came to eat at the beer garden and watch BHP ride the rides. BHP liked talking to Aunt Janet about "horseys".
Brenner strollin' at the steam engine show. Grandpa Hilbrenner would have been proud of his Farmall tractor shirt. BHP watched the draft horses on the obstacle course, bales of hay being made, big steam engines generating power for wood saws, and much more. It was fun.
Mommy was gone for work this week and Brenner made sure I got extra kisses this weekend! That was my favorite part!

"No likey"

Brenner has learned a new phrase - "no likey". We aren't for sure where he learned it but he uses it quite often. Typically used at mealtimes, I tell him to eat whatever it is anyway! We also enjoy listening to him say dump truck....it sounds more like dumb .......well you fill in the rest. I bet the gals in the church nursery think we curse like sailors at our house!
We had a little surprise under our soon to be rain barrel - a huge bull frog!
I don't think this smile could get any bigger. Brenner loves his new Elmo jammies from Aunt Lynnie! There is still plenty room to grow, too.
Well, once you stop laughing let me explain what is going on. We were finishing dinner and told BHP it was bathtime. Since he now can undress himself (pants and diaper), he figured the present was as good of time as any so down came the pants!
Brenner is showing his more of his quirks. He no longer sits in his booster because he wants "big chair". BHP has also become picky with his peanut butter and cracker - only eating the PB from the inside.
Just hanging out at the Schultz house.
We helped Uncle Shawn celebrate his birthday over the weekend. Here is Uncle Shawn and Papa with their future hunting protege.
