Weekend at Grandma Val's house

Brenner had a fun time at Grandma Val's house over the weekend with plenty of attention from the whole family! Papa took some time to go hunting - so everyone was making the most of the weekend. It turned a bit cool but we were prepared. Brenner continues to go full throttle - he has even taken to throwing himself onto pillows - I remind everyone that we don't need new bruises as pictures are on Saturday!

Colten - do you ever think I will get as big as you?
Uh-oh - Uncle Chris is giving driving lessons (Brenner, he gets a lot of speeding tickets so watch out!). BHP loves "driving" - serious mode kicks in and he only looks out the windshield.

Brenner and good ol' Emi Lou Lou. She is so good with him - I know we say that over and over but it is so true. Brenner's new thing is grabbing her tail and walking around the house with her.

Brenner loves his new Radio Flyer Turtle Scooter (an early birthday gift from Grandma Val). It took him just a few minutes to learn how to get on and off it - it is so neat - wheels that will go 360! Aunt Lynnie looks on in the background.

Weekend in St. Louis

Aunt Theresa and Uncle Chuck were in town for their granddaughter's baptism, so we headed to St. Louis with Grammy and Grandpa Vogan. We had a wonderful visit and Brenner did extremely well as long as there were plenty of people to look at! He really didn't like staying in our room as there were only momma and papa to play with in there! We stayed at the same hotel that the Dallas Cowboys were at for the game with the Rams today - I have never seen so many people hanging out waiting to see if they could catch a glimpse or get an autograph of the players. Brenner didn't seem so impressed - but did like the elevator! It was a fabulous weekend with family! Aunt Theresa and Uncle Chuck - we miss you already!
Grammy Vo, Uncle Chuck, BHP, Aunt Theresa, Matt, and Grandpa - a pretty classy bunch!
Aunt Theresa giving kisses to Brenner at dinner. He did so well - we were at the restaurant more than two hours and no meltdown!!! But he tore through the food - applesauce, cheerios, barley biscuits, mashed potatoes, and asparagus. For dessert Grammy Vo feed him ice water - he was hilarious- kept wanting more!
He must have been wound up from the food because when we got back from dinner he was running around the room having a grand time - such a good boy!
Grammy and Grandpa babysat on Friday - it was a super fun day. Brenner got to help carve his first pumpkin - "Mr. Pumpkin". He also got to play on his birthday present from Grammy, Grandpa, and Aunt Janet - a kangaroo climber (playset with a slide) - he loves it!
Check out these mugs! With his stripped outfit and the guilty looks - you know these two have caused some trouble. Can you believe he stood still long enough for this picture!!!

Columbus Day weekend

It was another busy weekend for Brenner. He and momma spent the entire weekend together as papa went to shootfest (if you don't know what that is - you are lucky!). BHP and momma went to a craft festival with Aunt Lynnie and Krystee and spent as much time outside as the weather is suppose to turn cold and much more fall-like this week.
Brenner loves the pumpkin that Aunt Janet picked just for him. It sits on our front porch where he likes to pat it.
Check out my cool new jammies! Ah - he isn't trying to be cool with one leg up :)
Brenner was a hit at the craft festival. He loves music and started flapping his arms and clapping to the music. Several people on the street stopped to watch him and were laughing. The musicians didn't see him at first and were wondering why people were laughing at their playing - the fiddle player finally looked over his shoulder and saw Brenner - then he gave a big smile!
Brenner has learned to give "squeezes" and kisses. Here he is loving on his giraffe.

11 months old!

Brenner turned 11 months old this week and we can hardly believe it. Where has the time and our sleep gone?
Aunt Theresa and Uncle Chuck sent BHP some new toys - he loves his new chomp and clack alligator push toy.
The persimmons in our yard are starting to ripen. Brenner loves them as does Emi! Notice the boo-boos on the forehead? Brenner decided to face plant into some rocks. We laughed as it was one of those moments when you see it happening in slow motion but don't have time to get there to stop it!
Momma, BHP, and Aunt Lynnie watch Krystee at a local band day. Krystee did really well - we could hear her playing - Brenner loved it - flapping his arms and stomping his feet to the music.
